1785 pointed rays (C 3-B) Nova Constellatio - probably my best copper.

PS, I’m never on here, but I suspect I’ve talked to many of you, lol. Happened to hop on for something else and figured I’d share. I’d also like to get rid of the “newbie” tag (yuck 😂).

That is a beautiful design...say, I don't recall seeing you on here before...new? :)
P.S. I was teasing you alittle asking if you were new. :)
Would love to hear more detail on your recovery...and congratulations 👍

Congrats on the great looking copper, and welcome to TN.

Love your YouTube videos, Stef! Thanks for sharing your incredible Nova copper, and hope to see more of your latest finds pop up here.

Very nice example even holed I would be happy. Not too bad for a newbie...lol just kiddin
Haha, thanks! I actually like the hole - it’s aligned perfectly so the “US” would be oriented correctly had someone worn it as a pendant. I normally assume the holes are to keep coins strung together to avoid losing them, but this one -might- be different.

Thank you! I’m never on TNet, lol. Usually I’m on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

I was digging in a cornfield that I hadn’t touched since June. This place has produced relics and coins from as far back as the 1600s, so while it’s pretty sparse out there, I still spend plenty of time looking for the occasional hidden gem. I don’t know how this coin stayed in such excellent condition, because all of my other coppers are either toasted or unidentifiable altogether. This was maybe 2-3” deep, lol. It was straight up and down, so I guess that must have helped protect it a bit. Was happy to have a friend there with me to share in the experience!

Thank you! Still in awe!

I wonder how long this “newbie” tag stays attached… that’s what I get for not posting here over the last 6 years. 😂

Well looks-looky you're already a tenderfoot :laughing7:

Tenderfoot Newby finds Nova Constellatio. :laughing7:

I've been at it since 1998 and I haven't even found a state copper yet. My avatar should say "Clueless Baby" under it.

That is just an awesome coin. Thanks for sharing it. I had to google it. Very historic piece.
Don't sweat the names, I've been called lots worse, LOL. Not on here of course, these are some great people. How about posting a few more of the things you've found on here.
