Detector(s) used

I finally found something worthy of posting. I have been struggling trying to find "the good stuff" for a few months now. I have tried a few different machines until I found one that fit. I got decent at identifying coins but I had been having trouble finding a place that I could find something old.
Well today was visiting family & happened to have my detector in the car. I got it out & was finding the normal clad that I was expecting and was used to finding. Then, I pulled this baby out of the ground.

I couldn't believe it. I truly never expected to find something like this in their yard.

Very sweet find mich!
I've been lucking into silver of late, and today I found a 1910 wheat.
You never know whats down there till you dig it up.
The sites I've been detecting, I had kinda lost hope of finding anything cool.
But then something good turns up.

An Ih is so cool, keep plugging away.

Good luck and
HH.

Congrats on your first Indian head penny. They are fun to find. Hope ya find many more in the future.

Good job and nice pic. I just dusted off my detector again about 2 weeks ago and now I know why I like this hobby so much. This forum has rekindled the fire.

Thanks everyone. Now I just need to follow it up.
It's amazing to me how every time I find an interesting site with history, I go there and now its a parking lot.

Good job on that Indian cent. I've discovered recently that old coins can possibly be brought in with the "fill dirt". I know that when I'm digging clad and dig old coins at the same depth, somethings up.....AMC

Great Indian Head! WTG

What kind of detector did you settle on?

Thanks. I got an X-terra 70 & I love it.

Congrats on the Indian! I'm sure it is only the begining with the 70! Nice choice.
