I went back to a small orchard along Kings Highway near where the British camped during the Rev war. The road is 350+ years old and heavily populated and paved now of course. Yesterday I found a lot of trash and modern clad. Today I got further in

from the road and after reading a post by Truth about Possum and Calabash advice on the 800 I decided to try setting the frequency at 20khz. Lo and behold I find a nice old horse shoe and a minute later my first round ball! Now I know nothing about what frequency settings do but I'm going back tomorrow. The ball weighs 30.8 grams and is .6889 inches in diameter. It rang in at 19/31 on the Equinox 800, so lead and some other white metal I think. Any ID's are welcome. Thanks for looking.
