My first silver coin of the season

1900 Barber dime. I thought I'd share. Any opinions on it's grade?

Nice Still waiting for my first one. As to condition I'd say very good to fine. At least no one drilled a hole in it

Congrats! In the short year ive been detecting, Ive learned to take them as they come out of the ground and not worry about the grade. Condition is a big deal to me however and i make it a point to try and make especially careful plugs if its a good signal.

That being said I think i can see some abrasion scratches from wiping dirt off the coin. Any coin that comes out that has even a shot of being valuable, i will not rub and wait to rinse and pat. Not sure if it is abrasion scratches or not but the picture looks like it. If it were graded, regardless of detail, itd probably get a "damaged" remark.

It would be average circulated grade. It is however a nice find. I have found over $800 in clad with only one silver a 1922 dime and a 1909 VDB wheatie plus lots of other wheaties
