Detector(s) used
Minelab eTrac ~ DetectorPro Pocket Uniprobe
Hello!

I met up with Richard & Ron this morning to do some detecting! Ron let me use his Explorer SE while he used his E-Trac. It's a fun detector to use ~ but it's kinda hard to get use to because I'm so use to my White's XLT. Here's what I found today:

1945-S Merc dime
five wheats ~ 1918 to 1958
ten clad dimes
30 Memorial cents
(NO nickels)
(NO clad quarters)

Not a lot of treasures, but I still had a great time!

The Merc dime is my silver coin find #104 for the year. I took pictures of it before and after I cleaned it up.

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Thanks Dr. Ace!

Yeah, Ron is slowly turning us all into Minelab guys! LOL

That's not an easy task especially since we are in Oregon ~ land of WHITE'S! I've been a White's guy for over 15 years now ~ I love my XLT ~ it's found me lots of treasure over the years. But I sure wouldn't mind buying a E-Trac. Too bad I'm too broke ~ can't afford one right now anyway.

Later!

Nice job on the mercury dime! Yeah the SE takes awhile to getting used to. I have had mine since the end of June and Have gotten pretty good with it. Keep at it!

Not a bad haul Neil!
Especially with a different detector. I'm hoping for an E-Trac by Spring of 2009???
Quite a few guys around here are using them and cleaning up on the deep silver.

Nice silver Neil, you are a silver magnet no matter which machine you use. Congrats.

Nice going, Neil !! You don't need an Explorer. You can find silver with a wooden stick. ;D ;D :tongue3:

Congrats on the nice looking Merc!!
We had fun even though we had to cut the hunt short because of rain and cold.
I'll bet there will be an Etrac under the Christmas tree this year!!

Isn't it fun to see one of those little Mercs pop up out of the ground? Congrats! I too would probably having a hard time switching over to an SE, being that I'm so used to the Silver uMax and its sounds. But if the funds ever were made available to me, well... :)

Nice finds Neil. It doesn't matter what you swing...as long as you're a swingin'

ROFL!

Gorgeous Merc!!

104 silvers, eh? The second 100 might be easier than the first! ;D

Nice finds. Did you see if your dime was of the "micro s" variety? hh blue

Congrats on a great looking Mercury Dime. :occasion14:

You will find many many more with that machine. I saw pointdlr (t-net member) pull a silver dime out of a 13" hole once. I have not dug anything that deep yet. It amazes me those little buggers can find there way down that far.
