So.....I have been using a (POS) machine for months now and been growing more and more irritated for not finding anything than corroded pennies, and my b/f finally convienced me to use his Tesoro Lobo Supertraq for the first time. So after work today we headed to an old pounded out park so I could test the machine out. Low and behold, my second target - a 1928S Merc Dime!! :headbang: :headbang: SSSOOOO happy - kind of bittersweet because my hunny has found 2 silvers, and his favorite coin - the merc dime. So anyways, I have to share - Im never going back to the POS....I'm a Tesoro girl now! I have already requested going back again tomorrow after work.

Awsome find! Glad to see that you guys (and gals) have been finding silver at that park. It has been hit very hard over the years but its still there, just few and far between.

The cool thing is that when you do pull silver there , it tends to be a little older. (At least by California standards)
maybe.webp
(Maybe one of these guys dropped it)

Sorry I missed you guys last night, would have loved to see you pull your first silver. Hopefully I can get out with you guys this weekend. Maybe I will have to take you two to somewhere that is a little more productive
(Probably sound like a broken record, but I really am trying to get out with you guys, just not easy with a 2 year old and now a 3 week old, plus the wife has been sick this last week)

Hey Steve! :hello:
That picture is really awesome, it puts things in perspective on how old some of these coins are. You are welcome to join us ANYTIME, and would enjoy your company.....families can keep us away from hobbies - so it is understandable. I heard you are finding lots of good stuff, I'm excited to watch you dig something up! You know Kirsten and I, we are ready to go whenever you are. Thanks for shaing my happy moment, hope there will be another one soon! Seeya soon!
