My first stone celt find? Not the best shape but very smooth with curvature

Anyone think it looks right for a broken celt? The edge looks slightly too rounded but it's hard to get an adequate picture. It's very smooth but I can't tell what type of material it is. Doesn't resemble a flint nodule at all due to the inside of the stone showing itself.
 

Difficult to tell from your pics friend but it looks to me like it's a water worn quartz rock that someone may have knocked a few chips from and tossed it.
 

Quartz can be brown and non-crystaline?
