Well I got my first metal detector on 3/17 and went out over the weekend. I ended up buying a Beach Hunter ID. I am still learnng the basics and how to properly comb the beach but this is what I ended up with at my local beach:

I have a few wheat pennies in there, what is the best way to try to clean these up??

Congrats on those finds! Very nicely done for your first time out!

Just remember to keep the coil as close to the sand as possible at all times :)

Welcome aboard, Snap. Looks like you had a nice hunt. :)

Welcome and WTG...you will find a ton of information here...some of it you don't even have to ask for. ::)

Seriously, this is a great place for anybody interested in our hobby.

Welcome to the forum Snapahed. Congrats on all your finds, looks like you had a great day MDing. Good luck on your future hunts. I used to live in Loxahatchee, retired a year ago and moved to N.C.

WTG I wish I had done that good first time out :)

Welcome aboard Snap, great first run out on the beach. I had been wondering about the ordinances on FL beaches and wondered if you needed any licenses. I had read once somewhere that some of the FL beaches are restricted from MDing.
