Detector(s) used
Whites Spectra V3, White's DFX & Garrett ACE 250
A friend and I started talking a couple weeks ago about trying out metal detecting.

Well we jumped in and purchased a couple Garrett Ace 250's and off we went.

We started at a small fresh water beach near were we live in Massachusetts and spent 3 hours there; here are my results, I will ask my friend to post his also.

You only have to ask a question and in no time at all someone will give you an answer or at least put you on the right track.
I have just got myself an ACE 250 6 weeks ago ( First machine ever ) and i've found LOADS.
4 Silver rings, 1 Gold ring and today i found a nice solid Silver gents Bracelet. Plus LOADS of coins. All in 6 weeks. So you can do it too.
Good luck and may you have MANY GREAT finds.
All the very best of luck to you and your friend, and look forward to seeing some of your photos too.
Take care and happy hunting too.
Ray.

ddos, beaches can be interesting to hunt, but I suggest taking advantage of living in an older state...old coins sure seem to be much easier to find in your area than in the west/midwest/southern areas. (I assume you will be detecting for old coins.) Anyway, welcome and good luck to you!

Welcome!! Not bad for the first time out..
I hear those Garrett 250's are great!!
Good Luck!!
Joe

Great choice on the detector. I also use an Ace 250 and am having a blast with it. You need to start to hit the local schools and playgrounds to get used to the machine. Keep up the good work and keep the posts coming. HH RB
