Hey guys, the highlights of MDing for us recently have been Fri. and Sun. at Indian Park (with Danimal on Fri.). Friday, as Dan described, resulted in my first V nickel (1906) accompanied by 2 indians in the same hole(04, 05) with a third close by that Dan dug and was able to test on to get his first indian. On a return trip on Sunday, I worked a small area (the base of a hill) close to the hotspot - and I actually did not wander this time, and I think it payed off. I found 3 or 4 wheats and the 43-S war nickel in that area. My dad found another indian (1891) in the hotspot (by the V nickel and the StLQ a few weeks ago). We explored some more parts of the park but did not give it a lot of time in new territory. This is the best time to MD (I think) but it's the time when I have the least amount of time to do it. Hope yall are finding the goodies and getting better with your detectors. HH!
Oh, this ring happened to be in the hole I was digging a big iron nail from. It was deep and I know the ring didn't give me any signal cause after I found it I checked the VDI: +9 to +10, and the original signal was a sputtery +93, +94. It sure looks like gold but there are no markings on it. I broke it in the process of digging the nail out.
