Why wtaerprofing the CZ3d....if you have the excalibur....... both machines are quite similar in terms of performance?
 

Cz3d is more tender on the small gold.
But that's my opinion.
 

That's a nice job. The Cz is more sensitive to small gold but only in enhanced mode. This will be great in dey sand detecting. But once you switch to salt mode, it's about as gold dead to small, certain type shapes and karat of gold as the excal or cz-21.

Very cool. I am thinking of doing something similar to an old Fisher CZ 5.
