Got out hunting with pl8man for a few hours this morning and finally got a silver coin other than a washington, A 1943 Walker. I scratched it a bit but oh well. I broke into a happy dance when this came up from 5 inches deep. Also found a .925 bracelet and a silver disney pendant from a necklace. The ring is just aluminum but its a ring so...Thanks for looking.

Some good keepers, there.

One question, though: how do you know the ring is aluminum? I haven't found an aluminum ring yet, and live near several smelters.

Resized for our viewing pleasure...........

Great finds. Looks like that Walker is a 1943? Awesome. I found a 1936 a year or two ago. Man, that will have you doing the "happy dance". :laughing9:

Good Job!

Usually the silver is stamped .925 or sterling and also has more weight. Also it has kind of a mood ring design. That ring would be heavier if it were silver.

@ Baldingboy, thanks for resizing. I havnt figured how to do that yet.

Ho-hoooo, Ryan, a Walker!!!! :headbang: Laurie

Man if only the ring had been silver . . . great looking bracelet too! :o

Awesome finds :icon_thumright:

Great finds!

But, I'm 99% sure the ring is not aluminum. I have found tons of aluminum rings, and none of them have ever looked as shiny as your ring! If you are sure it's junk, then I would say it's chromed brass or copper. If it were aluminum, it would weight practically nothing. What did it sound like on your machine? ???

Congrats on the Walker and the other finds, too. Where all did you hunt? Golden Gate Park?

Titanium, maybe? That's what I was thinking, anyway.
