I put 51 miles on my car Saturday and spent $1 total on yardsale purchases. I am not even sure I got silver. I found 3 bracelets (one with turquoise chips) everything about them smells like silver but none are marked. They are definitely hand made so I took a gamble and when I got home I just tossed them in my "to be tested" box along with all the other things that really look like silver but are not marked.
I live in So California, very close to the fires of one month ago. (My daughter's high school lost a few out buildings and ALL the vegetation all around the school) The last yard sale I went to Saturday was at one of the burned out homes in Yorba Linda. It was the only home on a very long block that burned. I don't think the things for sale were from that home because nothing was damaged and the house burned to the ground.
