Got called out to try to find a personal / very sentimental item "in the water".....

anyway, got there and it was 14ft deep and too late to go back for my SCUBA tank, so......

Stripped down my detector, got hold of the pool cleaning handle, some zip ties and some foam on the handle so it floated while I dove for targets!!

Success!! item recovered!! :gold-bracelet:

you think Garratt may send me check.......??? :laughing7:

yes, was hard going waving it back and forth in the water - luckily I had the area to cover pretty well determined.
don't think I could have used it for hours that's for sure!

Aaargh Captain, me thinks you are thinking like me! When I lived in Key West, I added a big dip net to an aluminum pole by using a sturdy mop handle and it was 12 feet long or more. I sure caught a lot of shrimp and blue crab with it off the White Street Pier and probably held the record for the most blue crabs in one night, 106 and they were just beginning to run well but I had to work that morning.

Now that's ingenuity! So glad that resulted in a save for you.
