im using same metodh as in my old trommel. chains inside of pipe. They are working very well. Glay gets mashed. here is todays test video on motor. 370w pipe 400mm 21 rmp.

now i only need to wait 25 days to start mining season. Still snow covers the gold ground ..

Very interested in the conveyor belt , I done the same thing but have not perfected mine , keep loading up under the bottom and runs the belt off , I added side rails for the dirt and a hopper at the bottom feed area . All from alum , need to change to small metal tubbing .

Any problems with belt slip? I am going to have 2 kevlar reinforced belts on my new trommel & I was wondering?

hi. there is hardly no slip but when something gets stuck in the trommel its good that belt will start slipping so it wont do any harm no trommel.

I was wondering if the belt roller could be say a half inch bigger in diameter on the ends... causing a low spot in the center of the belt to hold in the material better.
Maybe a couple idler rollers along the way on the equipment to hold the v shape better.
