So to start this is my colonial woods spot that I have been hitting hard. The finds are few and far between but the place keeps pulling me back because it's become like an old friend. If these
woods had a spirit I'd say we are buddies. Anyway I had a 2 hour window after work so I swung away hoping for something... a short time in I got an iffy signal and Dug a bullet casing. Pretty standard for this spot. I rechecked the hole and got a 43 war nickel! I'll take it. 10 minutes and a few holes later several hundred feet away I got that pull tab signal and out popped another 43 war nickel! What are the odds of that happening!? Only the treasure gods know that answer! Time was running out as darkness quickly descended on the woods and I got a "could be anything" type signal that had a diggable sound. Out came an IHP! I still consider myself a beginner so in my book an IHP is a day maker. After toothpicking it turned out to be the nicest / most crisp one I've found. What is interesting is that these woods seem to eat coins for breakfast but this one made it through pretty well after it sat in the ground for more than a century! Doesn't take much to make me a happy hunter. Thanks to the elv's, sprites, pixies and goblins for the coins!
