I hunted a pounded out old school built in the 20's for about an hour today. This place has been hammered so hard i've never even found a wheat back there. It's always pretty clad rich and with the occasional ring find I gave it a shot. I concentrated on an obvious place, the gravel driveway in front of the entrance. Gravel driveways are tough but they have always produced for me. I got a sweet signal about 45 minutes in and only 2" down in ultra hard packed old gravel out she popped!

Congrats on the Merc. I have found quite a few mercs but I also found a 1917 last week and man was it worn. Seems like all the '17's I have seen has been worn thin.

Nice merc, looks like you got some gas rebate to. WTG.

Way to go Nice merc.

Nice merc!

I found my first merc friday, it was a 1917 too.

Sweet find!

You can tell the gravel wasn't to nice to her from those little indentations.
