I have only found one of these myself. One thing I have always wondered about them is, did they used to have cork, or something else around them?, or were they simply used as is?

Found a handful of these in an early 1900s dump. We are hoping the bottom of the dump will turn up to be older with some pontiled bottles. Are these things worth anything?
