My personal best relic day so far and new oldest coin!

Went out for 7+ hours on Saturday and had a great day! I don't normally have a ton of success, so this day was something special. All kinds of keepers from coins, buttons, Britannia alloy handles, a bell, and even a medicine bottle from my hometown.

Beat my oldest coin by about 40 years!

Its been 2 days and I am still having a hard time not staring at the dime

Looks like you might have found a hames bell.

Note the bells on every horse in the team. I've often wondered what the horses thought of the idea. Did they think it sounded as pretty as the humans did?

It's a shame people put holes in some of those older coins.....back then, it seems to me, it was worth more in someones pocket than around someones neck.......HH
