Hi all.Earlier this year (sept 20) I found my first Fugio cent at a colonial site here in upstate NY.A friend has also found a Fugio at the same site and today I found my second Fugio there. I could use some help on the variety, type etc. I've been slowly cleaning some of the crud off with some blue ribbon cleaner. It looks to have been struck off center and is real weak to the one side.I'll try and get better pic's later......my camera is junk.

Thanks y'all. This site has been realy good.....probably one of my best sites so far.The area has alot of early history from my hometown. For years I've been looking for the original cabin site of the town founder and I think I'm realy close....just need something irrefutable to prove it.Most folks think the cabin was a couple of miles further south. The town historian and myself think there wrong and it was actually somewere at or near this site. I've searched the area were most think the cabin stood and found nothing but more modern stuff while this site has given up many coins and relics from the right time frame.

I think Don nailed it, stating that they all seem to come from the extreme Northeast. Even though the coins were minted in Philadelphia, I have not seen any from the Mid-Atlantic States (other than Upstate NY).

Fantastic find. For most of us that is a once in a lifetime find. You have done it twice!!!

(Third time is a charm ;)
Actually minted in Connecticut, many were stored quite a while after minting, sold at a discount and circulated.

Thanks y'all. ;D

I know of five being dug in this area so far.Makes sense that there would be a few being circulated here......most of the early settlers to this area came from Conn.
