My son got this in the cash register at his work! 1969 series $1 bill with mismatched serial numbers! HOLY COW!! WHY was this in circulation?!

Mismatched serial numbers are much sought after by error note collectors.
A few years ago, they were going for $200 in VF to $400 in Unc.
You may wish to check Ebay for current sales prices.

Considering the condition it would be worth sending to PCGS Currency so they can grade the note, since it could mean more value even after considering their fees. It's certainly worth a few hundred dollars as is.
