My Son's First 1800's Finds

It was a Beautiful day here in Kentucky,so I thought I would tryout a Old Homesite me and my Son had done some Research on.I didn't want to go without him,so I waited until School was out and that give us a couple hours to do some Swinging. I told him to keep the discrimination low and dig everything with a strong signal. We cleaned alot of big iron out and a few square nails with a few nice relics to take home.The Highlight of the hunt is the 2- V nickles he found,The first one was a 1893 and the other was 1891. I Love digging into the 19th Century and I was so Proud to see him find some coins,so he could feel the excitement of knowing he just dug something a Century old.

We also brought home a Small early 1800's Flat button,a piece of a heel plate,harmonica reed,a couple buckles and a old chain.
A pretty Good Day in my book.

Anytime you achieve numismatic symmetry the universe is pleased.

I think that finding exactly two V nickels in one day is a glitch in the Matrix.
