My sons second day of detecting and another ring

My 10 year old begged me to take him detecting again today so we loaded up and went back to his school. I didn't bother to get my detector out of the car but instead continued to explain to him what he was hearing from the detector and seeing on the display. He started telling me if he should dig or not. His last target of the day and he says to me "Daddy, this one is a 12 every time and sounds solid, I want to dig it". Sure enough he pulls out his second ring in 2 days. It took me 2 years to find my first ring and he is 2 for 2 now, 2 rings in his first 2 days of ever detecting.

He is hooked. He was worn out after a couple hours swinging the DFX. He was ready to head home but he was very happy.
