HI ,
This coin has been in my house since i was young.
Many years agò my mum told me that it was taken by my uncle from the sea, in Sardinia island (italy).
Never bothered about it but few weeks ago i was reading a magazine in my hotel room in Bermuda and i found a pictures of a coin wich is exactly the same as mine !! Started to do some search and found it is a spanish Cob.
Now ... i don't know if this is real or not , or if can be of any value !

You can see the pics of the coin and the magazine on this link :

Thank you for your help,
Franco

I am no expert, and I can't say if it's a copy or not from the picture. To me it looks like an 8 Escudo from the Lima Mint dated 1736.

Need Help in identifying

Greetings, I'm a newbie here and I'm looking for some information on a coin in my brother's collection. It looks to be a 8 Escudo, Lima, 1736. (we hope) lol... But i'm not sure. I was hoping someone on here could help identify this coin.
