Maby a cufflink?

My first guess was part of an old cuff link, because of the gold back. typewriter would have black back.

The first one if it's concave? Perhaps, a freeze plug.

The Rods? Carburator plungers? Spring missing?

A thought.

the Back is Filled with Rust & has a Clip of some type in it.
I'll try to get a Better pic. as I said, It's heavy. & appears too heavy to be from Dirt or from the metal the top is made of. which I think is brass

upolstery tack.........were the other two pieces with this Jeff? could they be tools that a upolstrey shop used!come to think of it they look like router wrenches to me....use them to change router bits

Almost looks like the slide mechanism from an old cabinet latch. I just took one apart lately that wasn't working, the slot held a (rusted apart) piece of spring steel, the brass knob hooked into the slider and there was a "dog" that trapped it in the pulled back position. I dunno, this was my best guess. Did you find anything around that area that looked like a rusted out box that might have held this all in position? Just a shot in the dark, looks familiar but not exact. G'luck!
My Best~

No michelle, the Only things found together were the 2 Identicle Pieces.

Nothing else found with them Rosie

Definately not Router Wrenches. Too Small.
at least for any router I'v ever seen.

The first items definately look like leather furniture tack.

As for the other wrench looking things - This is a total shot in the dark, but a few months ago my kids locked my office door on me and I had to break the door knob to get in. Those wrench looking things look very similar to the parts of the inside mechansim of a locking door knob. Wild guess though...

Edit: Just noticed Rosie alluded to this idea... Maybe were getting closer :)

Can't tell too much from the photo, but the big item looks as if it might be a plain-faced bridle rosette. The heavy weight would be consistent with that, and the wire on the back would be the remains of the loop. The pic below is of a slightly different type, but maybe it will help illustrate what I'm talking about.

the "PIN ?" is Definately in the center, but it's not a pin, it's flat
not round. I pulled up on it & it nearly Broke off, But I'm
wondering if it was supposed to lay flat & not stick out like a pin on a tac.

the two pieces that are made the same are the two prongs from an electricle plug when they were made the same size, now one is made larger so it will fit only one way in the outlet. good guess?
