My worst day ever

Went out early today to Tobay Beach on Long Island. I spent about 3 hours there , about 2 hours on the ocean side and 1 hour on the bay side and came home with only a quarter. Found it on the bay side. In the years I’ve been MDing this was by far the worst day. If I were a bottle cap collector it would have been a jackpot day.

Yesterday day I drove to hours to the beach, hunted 2 hours. They must have swept the beach. Not a bottle cap or pull tab in the area I hunted. Went home with a crusty 1997 penny.

Was the first time I actually wished I got to dig bottle caps. Lol.
