My Yard just keeps giving!

It seems to happen every month or so. I find this really awesome item.

It started with late 1700's lead pewter button in April 2023.

Then a White Tombac "Spun back" button Around May 8, 2023.

Next, an awesome old buckle on July 2, 2023.

Now today, a broken crotal bell! Crap, this was the most unexpected find I could have had today. I never thought I'd find a crotal bell. I don't have a bucket list yet, but if I did, I could cross an item off the list!


This is pretty crazy. I can't wait for September to roll around to see what I find next.

I’ve been pounding my house for over 10 years and just last fall I found a 2 cent 5 feet from the front porch, never quit hitting your own yard it will always be available when the corn is in the field!

Yeah, I got a hundred-acre field permission days before it was planted. There were two farms on the property, and I can't wait. With the two buttons, buckle, and now the crotal bell in my yard I still have hope I may find an old coin or two. There is just so much iron it's all I hear most days.

I spent several hours yesterday looking in the same area to find the other half of the bell. No dice! I did however pull a bunch more iron. A couple neat pieces I will be posting later today.
