Not sure, but looks like it may have been drilled by a piece of cane and not finished.

...100% natural, if it were drilled it would have had no purpose.

I will add a couple other pictures shortly, the indentation is from both sides, and does go completely through the stone. The chip in the hole appears to have been loose and has been forced into the hole. I should have provided additional photos with the original post. The result still may be naturally formed, and that will be fine if it is.

if the hole goes all the way thru, could it be a net weight?

no, it is natural. Notice the even patina in and out of the hole

Natural rock. Cool looking though. Keep at it - there's plenty of artifacts out there waiting to be found.
