Mystery find query roman bronze silver gilt artefact

Hi folks. Just got back home had a four hour hunt.been on this patch of land only a few times last time i detected was 2 weeks ago on this patch. I found the bronze hammer here as listed on my last entry .I have had Bronze Age Iron Age Roman and Viking finds in the area before but they are not everyday finds.
The land I have searched today is on a prominent hill with panoramic views. Good south facing slope. Pasture fields. I found the bronze hammer about 100 metres from this new find today.I am awaiting feedback from finds Liason officer re the hammer but I believe it is an early piece.
The find today was a good 10 inches deep. It has a good patina and evidence of silver gilding what fascinates me is I noticed writing on the artefact which I believe is Roman I do not know what the artefact was from. It weighs 31 grams. I would appreciate help again please with this one.

I think I have worked it out. I believe it is a Roman patera handle. The writing will be a makers mark. I will get this to the FLO. Thanks

Great ID, I'm guessing an expert could ID the Makers Mark to a tight time & place?
