mystery object, tabacco grinder?

Hello everyone,

Dug this out of a park yesterday. First time I was ever at this one. I dug mostly clad, but found this cap looking thing. I cleaned it up and here is it. I think maybe its a tabacco grinder? Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I was going to say the same thing. Took me a min to remember where I had seen these berfore. Then it dawned on me who what and where. LOL

Anyone have a guess on the age of this bud grinder?

how deep was it

It was 5-6 inches deep. I was using a whites dfx with 9.5 inch coil. I went back yesterday to see if I could find the other part to it, but no luck so far. I believe that it's copper plated, possibly galvanized steel for the teeth. Not sure,whats anyone's guess on the age of this bud grinder?
