I sure would appreciate that "V".As these buckles go,it sucks when ya cant find the tongue!

No problem. i know what you mean. I've never dug a wreath but did dig a loop to a 2 piece US. I dug a big fancy colonial spur about 10 feet away and When I heard it I knew that was the tongue. I never did find the tongue to it. The is a relic show tomorrow and I'll see some knowledgeable people there for sure.
I looked in Mike O'Donnell's book but didn't see one. He'll be one I ask about it. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Nice find :icon_thumleft: this link might help some i think there is stars on the bridge 3 i could be wrong iam no expert but it sure looks like yours Dd60

CSBP 2. Dug Virginia Militia buckle.
Though not the rarest State buckle, you still don't
see these for sale very often. Displays very well for
a marriage and priced accordingly. The applied
tongue disc was separated from the bar when found
but is original. The tongue was dug near Richmond.
The wreath, Orange, VA.

No,I dont see stars on it :icon_scratch:I am familiar with two different variations of the, "leaves and ribbons",wreath one with the bridge and another without. One variation of the bridges ones has scrolling on the bridge.....just never seen stars :dontknow:Thanks Though!!

Hey Kuger. I asked several people about your wreath. Most if I were to mention their name you would have heard of. None of them recalled ever seeing a wreath with the stars and none really had any ideas unless it was a makers marks. I'll keep my eyes open. There is another show near me in May then the Richmond and Gettysburg shows later this year. So I can ask around at them too.
Hopefully someone will know.

I don't ever recall seeing any with any stars. I wonder if they were a makers mark or something. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm at a show.
