Hi guys just looking for some info. N.F. String boxes usually have a circular stamp with the name and location of the company (nf string Pennsylvania etc.) ....and.... in the middle there is, hand-stamped, a random 4-digit number. Sometimes it's 5442, 5287, 5948...etc, etc. The question is: what does this number mean? Could it be the sort facility number? Delivery truck number? Bank's account with supplier number? Or maybe just a random number generated by a computer to track that box if there are any issues with it per the bank?........Anybody have any idea?
