that was the murder weapon used when he cut the chain off the victims neck... ::) :laughing9: Sorry just had to, nice knife and have no idea on the charm

Both are pretty nice finds, especially the knife.
The charm is most likely a fairy (as opposed to a naked angel). Without any markings, it is most likely not silver - still very nice though.

Maybe it's the: 'You're going to find a nice knife real soon Fairy'. :icon_sunny:

It absolutely cannot be Mercury (the Roman messenger of the gods), and not even "his girlfriend." Mercury's wings were on his heels (so of course his wings were very small). He is sometimes also shown wearing a winged cap ...hence the term "Mercury dime." One of the major message-services in the US also uses him as its logo.

The what-is-it item is definitely a winged fairy charm, or necklace-pendant. Nude female fairies were quite popular jewelry-art in the USA from the late 1960s through 1980s. Of course, this one could have been manufactured more recently than that.

I gues Merc had a sex change? Gee I hope not. Looks like part of a key chain for a big rig. Monty

Yeah, I knew it wasn't but someone had to speak up.

Winged fairy or sprite sounds good. :icon_thumright:
