I just started getting into collecting Native American Artifacts. Mostly points but I do collect other things. Thought I would share a photo of my newbie collection thus far. Made the Shadow boxes myself. Inlaid the shadow box lids with buffalo nickels and epoxied arrowheads (fake ones) to the lid and used red felt for a backdrop so the items wouldn all stand out nicely.
Box 1 is all authentic artifacts with the exception of the obsidian knife which was made by a well known flint knapper who does really nice work.
Box 2 is dedicated to bird pointy projectiles I wanted to try for a different visual effect so I used 1.5in. roofing nails to raise the items off the background. I have just won an auction which contains 117 bird point which will come close to finishing this box. I will be short maybe 25-30 points. Should hgave the new points in about a week or so.
Box 3 Is mostly from The Columbia River Obsidian Collection as well as some field grade artifacts from Ohio.
