They look like geofacts, but I won't present myself as an expert; you have a likely location. I didn't know about the pole stone for pounding. In the early days my ancestors would take a section of log, hollow it out, and then get a long straight log for pounding corn or whatever. Hickory was the best, and oak worked, but never ever use pine or cedar. Keep checkin that spot.
