I went to visit the Anchor Inn yesterday and found 16mm. no backmark, gold gilt, Navy button. I don't see the exact button in Alberts book. Maybe some of the button people can ID it? Also found was a pewter button with a "6" on it. By the time I woke up this morning it was gone. I guess that I was not fast enough conserving it.:BangHead:

It looks like a nice old military button. Hope you can get an exact ID.
 

Nice find. I've found a few of those, with the chain around the anchor rather than the rope. Royal Navy Captain/Commander button 1774-1787
