Navy Button ID?

I found this this past weekend and am having difficulty id'ing it. I have looked through several books of Navy buttons and cannot find a match. To tell you the truth I am not even sure of the metal. The shank is attached much like a pewter button and peroxide did nothing to remove the corrosion. I think it may be pewter. Note the edge...any ideas?

Not definate, although I think I have found one similar. I guess it could be a civy fashion button
