Looking through some of my button finds , one that i have never been able to identify. Pewter, the shank is gone and has a 6 or a 9 on it.
It appears to be an early one but i can't find any information on it. thanks

Hi, although the shank is gone, please post a good pic of the reverse side. Also the diameter.

The best i can tell with a tape is just a tad over 13/16 in. I can't find my calipers.

Nice looking button. It may just be me, but I can almost make out an early eagle. His head is dead center and he is facing to the right with his beak visible. His right wing is down just under his beak. Does anyone else see this, or is it just my imagination? Best of luck to you.
