Navy Cuff Button?

It appears to have a small anchor on the front. How old do you think it is? Thank you

I can't see the anchor but the button dates about 1830 or so J.M.L & W.H.Scovill took over Leavenworth, Hayden & Scovill in 1827. The company became Scovill & co around 1830. By the 1840's most if no all military buttons were 2 piece.
