Metal Detecting
Had a great weekend metal detecting with my friends Aaron and Nikki!

Nikki found two nice silver rings and Aaron found a pristine 1935 Nazi 5 Reichsmark in an area where I had previously hunted THREE times and he found it with my old AT Pro that he bought from me! :BangHead:

I found a silver ring and a beautiful 14K (585) Rose and White Gold ring! A great hunt was had by all!

Good Hunt! Congratz! I have that 5 Reichsmark, but I forget what year mine is.

Looks like a good hunt! I hope your grass areas there recover better than mine here in SoCal. A full plug here is a no-no as they die real easily and end up being a brown spot or a hole when the mower comes along and sucks it up. A three sided trap door plug allows the grass to recover a lot faster and holds the plug in place. Also, anything bigger than a small hand digger is frowned upon in our parks and attracts unwanted attention from the local busy bodies unless you hunt at night. Good Luck and happy hunting!

Most everything here is crabgrass that isn't maintained with the exception of being cut a few times a year. Cutting a full plug causes no permanent damage.

You know that and I know that, but, the casual observer might not. It's the perception of our activities that gets criticized and eventually banned.
