Found NC Arrowhead & Rhyolite Tools

I found a few NC artifacts on Saturday. The temperature was just right so it ended up being a great hunt. I came home with the bottom of my box full. There was debris, flakes, broken tools, and pieces of rhyolite all over this site. I was just flipping out every piece of material I saw, making test holes and doing some light surface digging. I ended up finding a well-made, Early Archaic, Rowan point. The only damage I see is a nick off the base. I also found some large preform or hand saw while digging. It appears to have some rough flaking long the edges and it is really sharp. Then, I found a small axe / tomahawk head. I even picked up raw pieces/flakes of rhyolite with speckles and banding; some have no flaking to very little and some have unique characteristics. I'm going to picture some of these finds here. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them all yet. I will add the rest to the thread later on.

Here's that large preform or hand saw tool. It don't look like anything standing back from it but when you look closer, there's appears to be some light craftsmanship.

Here's a unique flake. Looks like a scraper / knife / graver combo tool.

Nice looking finds! My opinion it looks more like a Stanly stemmed, but a nice one either way.

Here's some more pieces from the box. Overall, I believe these artifacts I have found (including the Rowan point) are good evidence of an Early Archaic site (maybe older?) and secondary quarrying (I like to call it a utility site). Some rhyolite materials are harder to see fine flaking than others. Hopefully I provided good enough pictures to see it.

Here's a few more. The first one has definitely been worked. I'm not sure what kind of tool it could have been. The second one is iffy. It has a smooth, rounded edge, could that one be an anciently-used, crude adze? The last two flakes are unique and made of speckled rhyolite. One has more patina than the other. It stood out because most flakes looked quarried more recently at that site. The last one pictured is what I like to call a common flake; I have seen that shape at other sites I have searched and it has a sharp edge with very little to no fine flaking. I believe the overall size of the flake has been reduced from being used. Even if it isn't anything, I think it's cool I brought it home anyway.

Here's a unique piece of speckled rhyolite. I'm speculating that it may have been started as a preform or it could have been a crude hand axe.
