Hello All! Got out to two spots today. Started the day field hunting. My first good (great!) find of the day is this North Carolina state seal Confederate button!!! (I'm a NC native, this was def on my bucket list!) I think there may be some gilt under the dirt, will try some aluminum jelly when I get back from Xmas. I also found a neat gilt cuff link? There appears that something was attached to both sides. I then proceeded to a new spot and found my first walking liberty quarter! It's worn bad so no date but I was still excited. Hopefully I can get the black crud off... I also have a few items I can't positively ID so as usual your input is very valuable and very appreciated.
