Yup, you've definitely found what remains of an early ladies sash buckle.
Too bad about the damage, this one has a lot of detail on it too. :sadsmiley:

Date wise, probably late 19th or early-20thc. :thumbsup:

I just took a closer look at this clip and there maybe a patent date written on it. :icon_scratch:

Of course, it may just be my eyes playing tricks on me at 6:30am. :laughing7:
