I'm not sure what type of material this point is made of, but it sure is different. Found in a field near a creek in SW North Dakota. I believe it's Late Archaic, possibly a Yonkee or a Pelican Lake variant. It's 1 1/2" long.

Golly that is so pretty. Great find.

Very cool material!

I've seen the material before, just not sure what to call it. Very pretty.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I'm beginning to wonder if it's maybe a type of silicified wood. Southwest ND is abundant in agatized/silicified woods, it's all over the fields and all different colors. Southwest ND is also my favorite place to hunt, one of the most beautiful places on earth. A buddy of mine found a perfect Clovis about 15 miles from where I found this point! He also found a perfect Folsom point, a miniature one, perfect in everyway, but the size of a dime!
