Need a little help

Found at a sight were a railroad ended. The railroad was operating from1895 to 1945. No marking or makers marks that I can see. Any help is appreciated.

I'm open to any suggestion because I have no idea. The spoon end has me. I thought maybe for melting lead but has no spout.

It looks like 1/2 of a sickle mower pitman arm. It woiuld attach to the ball on a sickle.

It's half of a ball & socket pivot? The two halves would bolt together around the ball. (like a tie rod). I've seen them on different types of old machinery. Tony

My first thought was broken "rocker arm".
