Need help I.D.ing some buttons

Dug these 2 nice buttons today....one is gold gilt, has eagle holding a shield with anchor in it. says " No.2 Fine Gilt" on the back. The other is eagle and above the eagle it has " A V C" . The back reads (I think) " Halfman/Montgomery" some help plzzzz! The penny is for size ....

Your picture was kind of blurry but AVC stands for Alabama Volunteer Corps. This is a very nice Confederate button.
 

The other button is an early Navy one. I can't find any info on the back mark but the button most likely dates from the 1820s to the 1840s.
Both are very nice finds.
