Was able to walk a very good site, its a field/bluff that overlooks a river that flows into a major river. I have found many artifacts here in the past and since we had a good rain I stopped by after work. The first picture I am thinking is a scraper and/or flint core but I am not sure suggestions wanted. The second is a very neat looking hard stone its green and speckled with what look to be a drill hole started. The bottom seems a polished a bit but the shape of the rock is confusing. Please help!

Nice core .... pretty material , not sure about the other rock .... odd shape and looks like maybe a fossil of some sort rather than pecked

The first item looks like a chopper or hand axe. The second at worst is just a rock, at best, possibly a broken bannerstone preform. Cool looking material.

The rock is porphyry. Used by the Indians for a variety of objects. Beautiful when polished. Gary
