I don't think this will be easy but hope it is easy to ID for someone ... definitely military , but difficult to read and or see ... back mark partly covered with iron shank bent over ... I feel it is definitely an oldie ... any Ideas would help me thanks

German Imperial Navy, this pattern was used 1871-1918 I believe

Thank you nhbenz yes as I did more research I found the same silver toned Kaiserliche Marine Uniform Button ... thank you so much buddy
