I have owned this piece for about 10 years and I have very little idea about where it came from or how old it is. pretty sure it is has been repaired in the past in the nose area from previous rust. victorian style collar - reptilian eyes - protruding teeth - leaf ears - medicine wheel circles in the skin area 12" Height x 5" Width x 3" Depth sculpture-full-view.webpsculpture-ear-shot.webpsculpture-teeth-medicine-wheel-symbols.webp

The Aztecs were in Mexico, which is N. America. Gary
 

It's pretty cool. I'd say it's a whimsical art piece, probably made in the good ole' USA by an art student.

There is a period after the words "South America"... ending his statement.

Then says "Aztec Inca"... which is / and can be taken another way via text... via the net.

IOW... It should have been taken as a "finished" statement. errr I guess.
