Need help Identifying

Could anyone help me identify this stone? I would appreciate it.
It was found in Elmira NY. Along the Chemung River. In an area known to be used by indians.

how big is it, & is it heavy for its size?

It is about 6in long. 2in, or so tall. And yes, it does seem heavy for its size.
